Totsukawa Village, Nara Prefecture: River Fun with Dai-chan

A hole in the ground for those in the know?

2 hours and 30 minutes by car from Kobe

I visited Totsukawa Village, Yoshino-gun, Nara Prefecture, after hearing about it from an Instagram friend.
I was prepared for a certain amount of crowds since the village is famous for its river sports, but…
When I arrived, I was surprised!
There was no one there! It was in the middle of the  Festival in August~~~!

The location was perfect, with relatively shallow water, so even Dai-chan, a beginner at playing on the river, could enjoy it.

Nara Prefecture is the best! I highly recommend it, but please be careful when playing in the river, as it is a natural place.

It’s a beautiful river full of fish and shallow water that even O-chan, who can’t swim, can enjoy.

Be careful, there is a deep part.

I was a little impressed to find such a luxurious river experience nowadays.

I am a little impressed.

On the way to Totsukawa Village
I bought a lot of bento boxes, snacks, drinks, etc.
We bought many lunch boxes, snacks, drinks, etc. in Kashihara City on the way to Totsukawa Village.

Of course, there are no supermarkets near the river, so please be prepared.

Please be sure to take your garbage home with you!
Is this place also full of people with good manners or is it just unknown?
Is it because people have good manners or it is just not well known?

After playing in the river, we went to Amanogawa Onsen.

It took us about 40 minutes to get there from the river, so it was a little far.
But there were many more hot springs nearby, so I guess we could have gone there as well!

I really should have left much earlier in the day and played around.
I really should have left earlier and played around with the river in Nara. You should try it too.

Please do not cause any inconvenience to neighbors, clean up after your trash, etc.

Nice to meet you. My name is Daisuke.

Our idol dog came to Tarumi, Kobe from Kagawa prefecture in Shikoku at the age of 3 months.
He’s a little, no, a lot jumpy. Loves the house more than the walk!
Recently, I made some doggy friends in the neighborhood, and going out may have become more enjoyable.
